Ecstasy is the eighteenth solo studio album by American musician Lou Reed, released in 2000. It is a concept album about Reed's personal experiences with marriage and relationships and is his final rock album that is not a collaboration. The cover photography is by Stefan Sagmeister, who instructed Reed to masturbate behind a curtain to express the feeling of unashamed ecstasy. Текст песни: They call you ecstasy Nothing ever sticks to you Not velcro, not scotch tape Not my arms dipped in glue. They call you ecstasy Nothing ever sticks to you Not velcro, not scotch tape Not my arms dipped in glue. They call you ecstasy Nothing ever sticks to you Not velcro, not scotch tape Not my arms dipped in glue Not if I wrap myself in nylon A piece of duct tape down my back Love pierced the arrow with the twelve And I cant get you back Ah, ecstasy Ecstasy Ah, ecstasy Across the streets an old Ford, they took off. Album 1999 14 Songs. Ecstasy Lou Reed. Reed - Big Sky - A few images to accompany a great song. Big Sky. Lou Reed. For the most part, Ecstasy finds Reed obsessed with love and sex, though as you might expect his take on romance is hardly rosy Paranoia Key of E, Mad, and Tatters all document a relationship at the point of collapse, while Baton Rouge is an eccentric but moving elegy for a love that didn't last and Eros is usually messy. White Prism, obsessive Ecstasy, or unhealthy and perverse Rock Minuet. Released April 4, 2000. Ecstasy Tracklist. Paranoia Key of E Lyrics. Lous last solo rock album it would be followed only by an ambient music album, a record of Poe interpretations, and a collaboration with Metallica, Ecstasy stands as Lous last great musical effort. A concept album, it illustrates how relationships evolve, often dying but sometimes, when the bond is strong enough, persisting. For its writing, he took influence from both his failed marriage to Sylvia Morales, who he divorced in the early 90s, and his blossoming romance with avant-garde artist Laurie Anderson, to whom he would be married in 2008 and stay with until his death in 2013.
